The Competition area encompasses the tidal waters of Lake Macquarie and all public beaches in the Lake Macquarie City Council area.
- The Lake Macquarie tidal waters eastern boundary for watercraft (including boats, kayaks, canoes, PWC’s and any other water vessel) is Lucy’s Breakwall, Swansea Heads (fluorescent lifejacket safety sign on end of wall).
- No fishing east of Lucy’s Breakwall (offshore) for watercraft (including boats, kayaks, canoes, PWC’s and any other water vessel).
- Fishing is only permitted in areas open to the public.
- Strictly no fishing permitted in Vales Point or Eraring Power Station waterways.
- Ocean rock platform fishing east of Lucy’s Breakwall is not permitted in this Competition, however fishing is permitted from Blacksmith’s Breakwall.
- Beach fishing is permitted from any Lake Macquarie City Council public beach including:
- Blacksmiths Beach, Ungala Road, Blacksmiths NSW 2281
- Catherine Hill Bay Beach, Flowers Drive, Catherine Hill Bay NSW 2281
- Caves Beach, Caves Beach Road, Caves Beach NSW 2281
- Dudley Beach, Dudley Beach Road, Dudley NSW 2291
- Redhead Beach, Beach Road, Redhead NSW 2290

All-inclusive Fishing at Bolton Point
The all-inclusive disability program will held be at the newly completed fishing platform at Bolton Point on beautiful Lake Macquarie over the Let’s Fish Lake Mac weekend.
Fishing times are 10am – 2.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday, with disability parking and wheelchair access opposite the platform.
Day Trippin Charters is offering exclusive trips for NDIS participants
Take a 90-minute fishing trip with Cooper at Day Trippin Charters. These 90-minute fishing trips will start every 90 minutes from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (with the final trip finishing at 4:30 pm).
Each trip accommodates up to 4 individuals or 2 groups of 2, with NDIS participants allowed one accompanying carer or parent.
During the hour-long fishing experience, you’ll enjoy quality time on the water, while the remaining 30 minutes will allow for a smooth transition between groups.
